Cut-Tex® PRO | Ultra Durable And Reliable Cut Resistant Fabric
Cut-Tex® PRO is a highly acclaimed and thoroughly tested cut resistant fabric.
Several unbiased testing facilities have tested our fabric against the most relevant European and American blade cut resistance standards. The results are clear:
Cut-Tex® PRO Cut Resistant Fabric – Performance Levels
- ASTM F-2992-15 Blade Cut Resistance Level A5
- EN 388:2016 Blade Cut Resistance Level E (TDM 100 Test)
- EN 388:2016 Blade Cut Resistance Level 5 (Coup Test)
- Cut-Tex® PRO also achieved a Cut Level 5 within the rigorous International Standard ISO 13997:1999
It also scores a pH value of 6.6 which means its pH value is very similar to the pH value of water. Its evidence suggesting clearly that any skin irritations are unlikely when our fabric is being worn directly against the wearer’s skin.
Many global apparel, workwear, uniform, textile and safety wear professionals aim to design cut resistant products and protective clothing that will be deemed ‘better’ or ‘more reliable’ or ‘more protective’. Cut-Tex® PRO is exactly what those professionals have been looking for.
Cut-Tex® PRO Cut Resistant Fabric – Applications
Our widely respected CutPRO® Cut Resistant Clothing brand is made from our very own Cut-Tex® PRO fabric, protecting those handling and working with flat glass, sheet metal or air conditioning. We all know that cut injuries and laceration can lead to rapid blood loss, subsequent shock and even death.
We are also using Cut-Tex® PRO to produce our SlashPRO® Slash Resistant Clothing brand, protecting frontline professionals serving in homeland security, law enforcement, prison services, border force, immigration, customs, covert police, counter terror units, surveillance and other agencies and services.
In fact, we at PPSS Group are using this fabric for all of our very own protective clothing brands. Because we believe the very best materials are just good enough.
There is no question about it, Cut-Tex® PRO is and will continue help to reduce workplace accident related cut injuries. Please note the impact of cut injuries are most likely to include the following:
- Physical pain, injury, scars, psychological trauma and more to the injured employee.
- Financial consequences to employers.
- Legal consequences to employers.
- Operational consequences to employers e.g. identifying and training replacement for injured employees.
And there are of course also the moral consequences to employers… but that’s based on the characters of the employers and how much they value their workforce.
Cut-Tex® PRO has been engineered and is being produced with the PREVENTION of injuries in mind. I sometimes wish we would all be a little bit more pro-active, rather than waiting for accidents to happen and then deal with our ‘neglect’ or ‘avoiding taking responsibility’ or ‘missing out on taking appropriate action’.
